Are Audio descriptions useful for the Blind?

Audio descriptions, also known as video description or descriptive video service (DVS), are narrated audio tracks that provide information about key visual elements in a movie, TV show, or other video content for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. These descriptions are inserted during natural pauses in the dialogue and provide details about actions, settings, gestures, facial expressions, costumes, and other visual elements that are essential for understanding the visual content. The goal of audio descriptions is to make visual media more accessible to people with visual impairments, allowing them to better comprehend and enjoy the content. These descriptions are particularly useful for conveying the visual aspects of a scene that may not be obvious through dialogue alone But, my question is, "are audio descriptions really useful"? Well, I haven't used it. I want to know whether you have used audio descriptions. What do you think about audio descriptions? Send me your thoughts here
